Project Background and Strategic Positioning
Shenzhen Airport Public Charging Station is China's largest smart electric vehicle charging facility at an airport. The initial deployment of 500 public charging points comprehensively covers multiple EV charging methods—including wireless charging, wired fast charging, and wired slow charging—for the first time. Distributed across P1, P2, and P3 parking lots, it provides diverse charging services for public electric vehicles with a maximum daily capacity of 2,000 vehicle visits.

The Huoda Zhongyuantong 7kW AC charging station (wall-mounted/pole-mounted) enhances convenience and charging experience through features like smart station search, automatic navigation, scheduled charging, scan-to-charge functionality, mobile payments, and real-time status monitoring. Socially operated vehicles simply need to open the app, navigate to an available charging station, and scan the QR code to begin charging. Users can set charging time slots or target battery levels, with automatic power cutoff upon full charge. Payment is facilitated via Alipay, WeChat Pay, or bank cards, maximizing convenience for users.
Shenzhen Airport embraces the “green airport” development philosophy of environmental friendliness, resource conservation, operational efficiency, and user-centricity. It innovates green airport development approaches and pioneers new pathways for sustainable airport growth. As a vital gateway to the city, Shenzhen Airport is committed to delivering the best passenger experience. By prioritizing green and low-carbon services—including the adoption of bridge-mounted equipment, solar photovoltaic power generation, electrification of ground vehicles, and independent dual-runway operations—it advances energy conservation and emissions reduction. The airport strives to build a low-carbon, eco-friendly facility that enhances the city's image and exemplifies its role as a model gateway. As a municipal state-owned enterprise, Shenzhen Airport actively responds to government directives, fully implements national energy conservation and emission reduction policies, and proactively advances the adoption of new energy vehicles. Partnering with ZTE New Energy Vehicles, it vigorously promotes the construction of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, providing essential ground services for new energy vehicles. This enables seamless travel and convenient charging experiences for users, ushering in a new era of “green transportation” at the airport.
